
It’s summer in the desert. Heat, heat, and yes more heat. Don’t let the dryness fool you, 114+ degrees can knock you flat. And with the Monsoons tempting us brings humidity and one feels they should swim through the air rather than walk. Dust storms billowing across the vast expanse of our city.

We wait longingly for October when cooler temps will once again envelop us. Yet each morning – like this one – I will look to the sky for those clouds tempting us with rain. I’ll whisper a prayer that they will shower their goodness on us. And when it does, I’ll sneak out and dance.
